Ashley Cooper Construction takes home Gold at Master Builders Housing & Construction Awards

Ashley Cooper Construction has won the Retail Facilities up to $5 million award for their Gaming and Bistro extension of the Ashmore Tavern at this year’s Gold Coast Master Builders Housing & Construction Awards.

After completing major extensions of the Ashmore Tavern’s main entrance, bistro deck and sports bar in 2020, the Ashley Cooper team embarked on a further extension and refurbishment of the Gaming and Bistro areas at the Gold Coast venue in 2021.

The tavern was seeking a modern look to reflect their new branding, and the project delivered a stylish bistro area, extended gaming room and updated aesthetic for patrons to enjoy.

Ashley Cooper Construction Managing Director Luke Ashley Cooper was delighted with the result, detailing just how much the award meant for his team:

“It is great to be recognised for our work at the Ashmore this year. We have put a lot of effort  into perfecting our processes for large hospitality venues and this award is a testament to the work ethic and expertise of our team. I’d also like to thank the subcontractors who helped bring this project to life: without them, this extension wouldn’t have been possible. It’s great to add another iconic Gold Coast location to our portfolio and I couldn’t be happier with the result.”

This award comes at a busy time for the Ashley Cooper team, who are taking time to celebrate the honour while working on a variety of projects across South East Queensland.
